CHARLESTON ANIMAL SOCIETY TO CLOSE AT 3:00 PM FOR SEVERE WEATHER APRIL 5, 2022

Charleston Animal Society  and the Second Chance ReSale Store will close at 3:00pm on Tuesday, April, 5  to allow staff and volunteers ample opportunity to safely reach their homes, secure their children and families and take care of their animals, along with preparing their residences for severe thunderstorms expected to arrive in the Lowcountry this evening.

What can we say, we like Big Mutts and we cannot lie! Charleston Animal Society has so many adult dogs in need of homes right now! So we brought in our friend and big mutt lover, DJ Natty Heavy, to help put the call out for all the Big Mutts Lovers!

MARIA PANELLA CAT ENRICHMENT GARDEN DEDICATED

Celebrity Cat Expert Jackson Galaxy joined Charleston Animal Society in the dedication ceremony for the Maria Panella Cat Enrichment Garden Wednesday morning. This enrichment garden was installed to honor a marvelous volunteer and donor who was particularly involved with cats.  Our animal care staff, including our behavior specialists, will now have additional tools specifically to help our resident cats!

Celebrity Paws in the Park is a Smashing Success for Charleston Animal Society’s Lifesaving Work

Over 2,500 people and their pets turned out to raise funds and awareness for Charleston Animal Society this past weekend, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Riverfront Park for Celebrity Paws in the Park presented by Crews Subaru.  The event raised a gross total of $489,000 with cash and in-kind donations to support the lifesaving work of Charleston Animal Society.
