About The Sadie Greer Memorial Garden:

The Sadie Greer Memorial Garden was donated by Hank and Laurel Greer in memory of their beloved kitty, Sadie Girl, who they adopted in 1999 from The John Ancrum SPCA, which is now Charleston Animal Society.

This beautiful garden was designed with assistance from the American College of Building Arts (ACBA), Leadenwah Landscaping, and Sunset Stone Memorial. It features three elements of traditional building trades that include carpentry, stonework, and iron. The wooden pergolas and stone animals were all hand-crafted by students of the ACBA using traditional methods. Four granite columbaria crafted by Sunset Stone Memorial complete the garden and offer niches to keep multiple pet cremains and memories.

This sanctum was created for animal lovers to honor the precious souls that have brought them
joy, while also supporting Charleston Animal Society’s lifesaving mission.
