Surviving Pet Care

June 4, 2020/0 Comments/in Uncategorized /by Dan Krosse

Surviving Pet Care

Consider enrolling in the Surviving Pet Care program at Charleston Animal Society and have confidence that your pet(s) will be in good hands when you are gone.

Your enrollment ensures that your beloved pet(s) will be brought to Charleston Animal Society for rehoming, and will receive the high standards of care you have come to expect from our staff. For more information on this peace of mind, Contact Jennifer Hayes at [email protected].

There are also ways that you can see your gift in action during your lifetime! Some options include the transfer of retirement assets (for those aged 70.5 or older), a charitable remainder trust or gift annuity, or a charitable lead trust.

Testimonials

“I was born with a love for animals. Progress in animal rights is slow and although I’ve seen progress, it is certainly far from perfection and will take future generations to continue this battle. That is why I decided that the only way I can continue to make a difference is by estate planning. By stipulating a certain amount of money in your will or life insurance policy, you, too, can guarantee that this tireless work continues to be funded.”

Faith BlackburnNamed Charleston Animal Society as the beneficiary of her life insurance policy.

Edith loved cats her entire life. After growing up in New York City, she moved to Cleveland and her parents moved to Florida. Edith’s brother lived in Charleston so as their parents aged, Edith moved to Charleston to help with their care. At the time, her brother had two cats, and Edith loved them so much she went and rescued three cats of her own (Misty, Lily Ponds, and Charlie – her most special)! She had them for the rest of their lives, with her last one passing just a month before Edith passed away.
