Florence Area Community Cat Project COORDINATOR

Job Summary: The Coordinator provides on-the-ground support of the Florence Area Community Cat Project goals
by coordinating the TVAR (Trap-Vaccinate-Alter-Return) of community cats with Project partner
organizations and the public.

Pay: $16.50

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards and provisions of animal care
  • Represent Charleston Animal Society, No Kill South Carolina, and Florence Area Community
    Cat Project with the highest level of professionalism at all times
  • Work harmoniously and effectively in a positive, non-judgmental manner with staff and
    volunteers of all Project participant shelters, as well as members of the public
  • Provide TVAR support to the public who have community cat situations via phone, email,
    and in person
  • Coordinate Project activities such as:
    o working with Environmental Services staff to identify trapping locations and
    schedules promotion of the program
    o scheduling spay/neuter surgeries with members of the public
    o identifying hotspot locations for trapping
    o managing trap bank
  • Maintain records or project activities according to established procedures. Compile and
    reports project data as requested
  • Participate in project development and planning
  • Participate in scheduling, promoting, processing registration for, and conducting
    educational workshops for public and volunteers
  • Other duties as required
