Behavior Enrichment Technician
Support Charleston Animal Society’s growing Animal Behavior team and training department by assisting in adoption assessments, perform shelter enrichment, assist in reviewing behavior health of shelter animals, and assist with behavior modifications. Monitor shelter animals and immediately report any behavioral concerns to appropriate supervisor. Work with volunteers who assist in enrichment, assessments, and playgroups. Demonstrate safe handling procedures for all animals. Work closely with all Senior Management and Veterinarians in assessing adoptability of animals. Ability to appropriately apply learning theory concepts and training methods through the use of positive reinforcement. Additional duties as requested including projects.
