The Charleston Regional Business Journal is hosting their 2023 Reader Rankings Awards, and Charleston Animal Society has been honored to be nominated in the running for Best-Non Profit! Voting is easy and will run Tuesday, August 15 to Friday, September 29.
21-YEAR-OLD EMACIATED HORSE RESCUED IN RAVENEL
A 21-year-old emaciated horse is recovering after being rescued August 9th. A Charleston County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a property on Jacksonboro, Rd. in Ravenel, after an eyewitness called to report concerns about the horse’s condition.

Winners will appear on the labels of the “2023 Rescue Brew Beer” from Palmetto Brewing Company. 541 Pet owners entered their dogs or cats at CharlestonAnimalSociety.org/RescueBrew and voting continues until September 15th.
