TEEN CLUB ACCEPTANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Congratulations!  You have been accepted into the 2026 Teen Club Leadership Initiative! Thanks to a generous grant from the Henry and Sylvia Yaschik Foundation and the Post and Courier, the $450 tuition fee for each participant has been sponsored. By clicking the button below and paying the $1.00 transaction fee, you are confirming your teen’s spot in the 2026 program. If your teen forfeits this sponsorship by failing to complete the program, your card will be charged the $450 program tuition. PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • This program consists of sixteen two-hour lessons, focusing on career and vocational development and promoting leadership through civic engagement. 
  • Classes will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 4:30-6:30 pm unless otherwise stated in the schedule.
  • To achieve volunteer status, you must attend each mandatory animal handling meeting, and you are allowed no more than three absences.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS 

To graduate from the program, participants must: 

  • Give a short (5-8 minute) oral presentation
  • Complete a service project
  • Adhere to the attendance policy
  • Pass written tests & hands-on demonstrations of safe animal handling
  • Complete weekly reflection journal assignments

Note: Attendance alone does not guarantee volunteer status. Participants must meet all requirements listed above to become a volunteer. After graduation, students must regularly volunteer to maintain the privilege of volunteering.
