CHARLESTON ANIMAL SOCIETY ORGANIZES LARGEST STATEWIDE ADOPTION EVENT IN THE US: PICK ME! SC

From July 20th to 28th, join us as Pick Me! SC returns to shelters and Petco locations across the state. This monumental event brings together over 93 shelters, rescue organizations, and Petco Pet Care Centers, marking it as the largest annual statewide adoption event of dogs and cats in the country.

23 DOGS SEIZED BY SHERIFF'S OFFICE BEING TREATED AT CHARLESTON ANIMAL SOCIETY

23 dogs are currently receiving treatment at Charleston Animal Society after a seizure July 11 in Awendaw by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. The case remains under investigation.

To help deserving shelter pets find loving homes, BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees of $50 or less per cat or dog during each nationwide event.

A hound dog named Twiggy who was found running loose on Johns Island is recovering at Charleston Animal Society after rare, three-foot kidney worms (Dioctophyme renale) were found during a spay-neuter surgery.
