Making Humanitarians, One Child at a Time
Why Humane Education Matters
It is Charleston Animal Society’s goal to create safer and healthier communities for our children. Each year, through our comprehensive humane education program, we teach more than 22,000 humane education lessons at our shelter, in schools, and in the community.
Although COVID-19 has limited our ability to physically be in these locations, it has not stopped this incredibly meaningful programming. Like many businesses, our organization has had to reimagine our programs. Thanks to our new virtual opportunities, we are now able to expand our reach to more children, teachers, and communities.
Check out the opportunities below to see how you can safely get involved with the shelter; both virtually and in person!
