Dandelion Flourishes after Fighting Pneumonia

Dandelion and her brother Spout were found wandering the streets of North Charleston as strays. North Charleston Animal Control brought both kittens to Charleston Animal Society when they were just two months old. Sprout was healthy, playful and growing, but little Dandelion was struggling just to breathe.

After careful assessment, our veterinary team decided to transport Dandelion to a local emergency veterinary hospital where she could receive round-the-clock care. Her lungs were fighting an aggressive case of pneumonia and she needed oxygen and an IV to keep her stable. Two days of 24/7 treatment helped her make a strong recovery and her and her brother are now reunited in a local foster home.

Now, as a healthy, spry kitten, Dandelion spends her days frolicking and napping with her brother, Dandelion. They are learning, growing and playing in a safe, comfortable environment thanks to the dedicated support from our donor community. With your contributions, we can provide the professional care and loving atmosphere for animals like Dandelion to thrive.

Dandelion and her brother will be available for adoption soon. In the meantime, check out our adoptable pets page or donate to provide lifesaving care to more animals in need.
