CHARLESTON ANIMAL SOCIETY CLOSED FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 30 FOR HURRICANE IAN

In preparation for Hurricane Ian, Charleston Animal Society will be closing early Thursday, September 29th at 2:00 PM and closed to the public Friday, September 30th. CHARLESTON ANIMAL SOCIETY LEADS SOUTH CAROLINA’S RESPONSE TO HURRICANE IAN

Charleston Animal Society rescued 80 cats and kittens from the Humane Society of Naples, Florida and Collier County Domestic Animal Services, Florida and is in touch with other Florida shelters via the Florida Association of Animal Welfare Organizations for pre and post-landfall response and recovery efforts. The cats and kittens were already available for adoption at their shelter(s) before being evacuated.
