The Mars Petcare Sales Team’s “Out of this World” Volunteer Day
Thank You to Mars for Helping Enrich the Lives of Our Animals
NORTH CHARLESTON | Wednesday| May 25, 2022
Last Wednesday afternoon, May 18, 2022, Charleston Animal Society was honored to have a group of nine sales team members from Mars Petcare for their volunteer give-back day while the group was in Charleston for week-long meetings.
Mars is a valued partner to Charleston Animal Society through Pedigree Foundation, Banfield Foundation, plus local involvement through Blue Pearl, Camp Bow Wow and other partnerships. Additionally, the City of North Charleston and the Town of Mount Pleasant recently were certified as Mars Better Cities for Pets Partners.
The Mars team started the afternoon with a behind-the-scenes tour, where they were able to see firsthand the lifesaving work Charleston Animal Society does each and everyday. After the tour, the team divided into groups of three directly impact the lives of the cats and dogs of our shelter. The team was able to bottle-feed neonate kittens, socialize long-stay dogs in need of TLC outside the kennels, and help prepare fundraising materials that make it possible for Charleston Animal Society to touch the lives of thousands of animals each year. See the good work the Mars team accomplished through the slideshow below!
You may know Mars Petcare as the makers of petfood mainstays including brands such as Pedigree®, Whiskas®, and Royal Canin®, but over the years Mars has made a point to do more for pets and the planet we share with them. From working to decrease their environmental “pawprint” with their Sustainable in a Generation Project, working to end homelessness in pets through the State of Pet Homelessness Index, to making a point to give employees the chance to volunteer whenever possible; Mars shows that they care.
Thank you to Mars Petcare for sharing their compassionate employees with us and for all that they do for pets worldwide!
