Statewide Spay-Neuter Project Underway

YOU Can Help!

Animal shelters are in crisis in South Carolina because they are overcrowded with animals. Of the 75 shelters in South Carolina, 49 have no vets on staff to assist with the medical needs of the animals, which means thousands of homeless animals across our state are in need of veterinary care.

In an effort to reduce the backlog of animals needing spay-neuters in shelters, No Kill South Carolina 2024, an initiative of Charleston Animal Society, has organized a statewide spay-neuter project.

Help Us Save More Lives

Why Your Gift Matters.

Your gift will help us recruit veterinarians from across the globe to come and perform these surgeries. We already have responses from veterinarians in Ohio, Colorado, South Carolina and even Mexico.

This is an urgent situation. Under state law, shelter animals cannot be adopted unless they are spayed or neutered — so without these surgeries, the lives of thousands of animals across South Carolina are at risk.
