Get a behind-the-scenes look at the puppy kennel at Charleston Animal Society! Watch as we pick one of the cute puppies to get some extra enrichment time out of the cage to play in our education room and eat some yummy treats!
1. Describe the different types of body language you notice with the puppies in their cages.
2. Do you think the puppy is happy to be out of her cage? How can you tell?
3. Why do you think it is important for shelter dogs to get treats, toys, and time outside of their cages?
Does a dog’s name help them get adopted? The jury is still out, but we do know that a clever name definitely doesn’t hurt! It can be very challenging to come up with UNIQUE names for our adoptable dogs. Send us a name suggestion for one of our adoptable dogs at email@example.com with the subject line ADOPTION DOG NAME and we will be sure to pass it along to our adoption staff. Want to give us several name suggestions? Sure! We will submit multiple names if you attach a short essay about why it is important to adopt from a shelter.
