Internet Stars “A Guy and a Golden”  join the fun Saturday to Help Homeless Animals

THURSDAY | JUNE 8, 2023 | CHARLESTON, SC — Charleston Animal Society is proud to announce that military members (veterans and active duty) and their families can enjoy FREE ENTRY to Celebrity Paws in the Park presented by Crews Subaru!  Thanks to the Rachael Ray Foundation, veterans and active duty military just need to show their military ID to gain admission for two adults (children 12 and under are free). The largest animal festival in South Carolina takes place this Saturday at Riverfront Park in North Charleston (1061 Everglades Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406).

CELEBRITIES IN ATTENDANCE

Internet sensation Johnathan Lower and his Golden Retriever Teddy (@AGuyAndAGolden) will be joining thousands of humans and their canine companions at Celebrity Paws in the Park. The festival runs from 10 am to 3 pm.  he public can purchase discount advance tickets at CharlestonAnimalSociety.org/Tix

The community is invited to come sit, stay and play all day in canine activity zones, including pet adoptions, Swift Paws lure coursing and canine demonstrations. See the world famous “K9s in Flight,” the country’s premier high-flying dog entertainers and enjoy live music headlined by Midnight City.  The opening act is Bullets Benign.

BARKS & BREWS BEER FESTIVAL  

The Barks & Brews craft beer festival is a new part of the 2023 Celebrity Paws in the Park!  Local and regional craft breweries such as BrewlabTideland Brewing, Frothy Beard, SnafuCommon House, Palmetto BreweryTwo Blokes, Low Tide Brewing, and Bevi Beni are participating in this inaugural activity.  Purchase Barks & Brews pre-sale tickets now through June 9th. The $25 discounted price includes entry to both Celebrity Paws in the Park and Barks & Brews, a commemorative wristband for you, and a bandanna for your dog. You’ll also receive a souvenir glass plus tastings at participating breweries.

11 different food trucks will also provide delicious options for those who come to the festival. After all the food and other fun you can elevate your Celebrity Paws in the Park experience with a balloon ride!
