Kennel tech – Berkeley Campus:
Charleston Animal Society is hiring a Kennel Technician
We’re looking for a dedicated team member to help care for our shelter dogs. This role involves:
- Providing daily care, feeding, and exercise for shelter animals
- Walking dogs and assisting with enrichment
- Maintaining clean and sanitary kennels and work areas
Details:
- Full-time, $15/hr with benefits
- 8am – 5:30pm (over as needed)
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Work is hands-on, physical, and can be very dirty
- Requires working both indoors and outdoors, on your feet throughout the day
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dog handling and training.
- Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care practices.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with staff and visitors.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and commitment to their welfare.
