Help Find Plum a Family
After a boat ride, two plane rides and 10 hours in the car, Plum arrived at Charleston Animal Society from the U.S. Virgin Islands. We have no idea what her story is before her adventure to South Carolina, but we do know that she is a very timid dog looking for a loving home. It takes her a while to warm up to people, but she greets everyone with beautiful gold eyes that are full of love and curiosity. She is currently an office foster, so she spends her days napping, going on walks with other office dogs and learning to trust people.
Plum is gentle and sweet with people, but absolutely adores other dogs. Her fun, spunky personality comes out the most when she is in a play group with her four-legged peers. Plum walks well on a leash and is even learning some commands like touch and sit, but it will take her some time to become comfortable with new people.
Plum is very shy, so she would do best with a patient family in a quiet home where she can build trust and confidence. It would be a dream come true for her to find a home with at least one other dog, as she loves to have a K9 friend and has made a few friends here at the shelter. She does startle easily so an adult-only home would be ideal. She’s an amazing dog looking for a kind home. She is not on the adoption floor so please ask one of our staff members and we will be happy to let you meet her.
If you would like to open your heart and home to Plum, stop by the shelter and ask to meet her. She can’t wait to meet you!
