Charleston Animal Society’s 20^th Annual Chili Cook-Off is this Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm on Facebook Live. Veterinary Specialty Care (VSC) has joined the pack as the presenting sponsor

From day one, VSC recognized the important work of Charleston Animal Society and partnered in the Society’s lifesaving efforts for animals in the community. We are honored to play a meaningful role as the presenting sponsor of the chili cook-off this year.”

“We shelter over 90% of the homeless animals in Charleston County,” says Joe Elmore, President and CEO of Charleston Animal Society.  “When those animals need critical care or specialized treatment, we turn to VSC to deliver those services.  We are proud to have them as a partner in our lifesaving and a supporter of our vital mission.”

COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the Animal Society’s biggest in-person fundraiser of the year, contributing to over $1 million in lost revenue for the organization.  The event was re-imagined as a virtual fundraiser on Facebook and pet industry leaders are stepping up to show their support.

Donations Will Double

During the live event, viewers will see their donations doubled, up to $20,000, thanks to challenge gifts from Hank and Laurel Greer and the doctors at Coastal Pain Care. In addition, Petmate, distributor of some of the most recognized brands in the pet industry like Chuck-It launchers and Fat Cat pet toys, has signed on to provide free gifts with every donation of $25 or more made during the live stream event.
