CAITLYN: 9 YEARS LATER

CAITLYN’S JOURNEY FROM CRUELTY AND HOW YOU CAN HELP

TUESDAY | MARCH 26, 2024 | NORTH CHARLESTON, SC

9 years ago, a very special dog named Caitlyn came into Charleston Animal Society’s care after being made a victim one of the most shocking cruelty cases ever witnessed in our organization’s 150 years. Her snout had been sealed shut with electrical tape, cutting off blood flow and making it impossible for her to eat or drink.

Thankfully, Caitlyn’s story did not end there. Her journey from abuse to recovery went viral online, touching the hearts of thousands, including that of Ted Corvey, the Assistant Solicitor who was at the time working to secure a conviction in her cruelty case. After the trial, Ted and his wife brought Caitlyn into their home, where she continues to live a life free from suffering.

Thanks to fundraisers like the Lifesaving Lexus Raffle, Charleston Animal Society has been able to be there for Caitlyn and countless other pets in need. For that reason, please consider joining the raffle before it closes once all 3,000 tickets have sold out.
