Charleston Animal Society just completed two weeks of performing spaying or neutering surgeries for dogs and cats in animal shelters located in 11 different counties, across every single region of the state.

Kentucky Dogs Rescued

Charleston Animal Society rescued 19 dogs from tornado-struck Kentucky this week. These animals were already in shelters and their transport will now make room for other animals lost because of the storms.

Spay / Neuter Week Assists Animal Shelters During Veterinarian Shortage

Veterinarians from across the country joined together with No Kill South Carolina last week to help several animal shelters and rescue organizations that were over capacity with homeless animals. Throughout the week 447 animals were spayed or neutered, bringing them one step closer to finding loving homes.
