DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 19th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade\, the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Lowcountry\, on Saturday\, March 11\, 2023! The celebration will feature live music\, street vending and fare from Olde North Charleston restaurants\, a Kid’s Zone\, and more. The block party kicks off with a parade starting on Park Place East (adjacent to East Montague Avenue and across from the Park Circle Community Center) at 12:00 noon. \nThe party\, parade and parking are free to the public. Parking is very limited\, please carpool or rideshare and utilize care when parking in adjacent neighborhoods. \nEast Montague will close between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue at 9:00am for set up and remain closed until 7:00 pm. Additional closures will occur on Chateau Avenue\, O’Hear Avenue\, Empire avenue and Colie Morse Way. East Montague Avenue between Park Place East and Jenkins Avenue at 11:30am and stay closed for the duration of the parade. \nThis event is presented by the Park Circle Business Collective with support from the City of North Charleston.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore\, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Neighborhoods host block parties\, festivals\, parades\, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations\, seminars\, youth events\, visits from emergency personnel\, exhibits and much\, much more. The only rule for participating is that nothing can be sold for profit at the event.
